SafeLane Product
SafeLane™ High Friction Surfacing and Ant-icing Surface
Overlay For years, deicers have been used to prevent the formation
of ice on road surfaces and to aid the removal of ice and snow from roads once
it had formed. Epoxy high friction surfacing has been very successfully used to
provide superior traction for traveling vehicles, but never before have they
been used in tandem.
SafeLane™ anti-icing and high friction surfacing helps
prevent frost and ice formation before it begins. It also provides superior
friction giving drivers year round traction in all weather conditions
The Cargill SafeLane ™ overlay combines the benefits of superior friction
with a unique aggregate that stores and automatically releases anti-icing
chemicals. This system actually helps prevent frost and ice formation before it
begins!
SafeLane™ provides a safe and cost effective pavement overlay that reduces
accidents and prolongs the life of pavement surfaces and bridge structures. The
patented technology in the SafeLane ™ overlay was developed at Michigan
Technological University (the equivalence of Transport Research Laboratory in
the UK) after 10 years of research and is licensed and marketed by Cargill.
Cargill and Safecote have signed an agreement granting Safecote Ltd the
rights to market Cargill’s unique SafeLane ™ Surface Overlay in England,
Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The agreement with Safecote is the first such
international marketing agreement for SafeLane ™ |
